This is a great activity for a wet Wednesday. Lots of 'as good as gold' style idioms. Simply cut out the idiom cards (there are two pages), and get the students to match the cards.

This worksheet looks at some common idioms connected with color. Expressions include:

* a white lie
* red tape
* the black market
* a blue collar job
* be tickled pink

The worksheet has gap-fill exercises, where students need to guess the meaning of the idioms from context. There are further exercises to recycle the new language, followed by discussion questions, allowing your class to personalise the idioms.
