Troubleshooting


If you're having difficulties, there are a few things to check:

  1. The Billing Address
  2. Many teachers live overseas, or at a different address to where the card is registered. Make sure the address you enter is the BILLING address for the card.
  3. The Cardholder's Name
  4. Make sure you enter the name exactly as it's written on the card.
  5. The 'Card Verification Number'
  6. You'll need to enter the Card Verification Number, which is a 3-digit number on the back of the card. It's usually written on the signature strip. It's the FINAL THREE DIGITS on the back.

  7. The Expiry Date
  8. Make sure you enter the expiry date correctly, and that you don't mix up the month and year.

You don't need to create a PayPal account.

PayPal has a link on their payment page for PayPal members to log in an pay that way. However, if you don't have an account with them, just look for the link on the payment page which lets you pay by credit card or debit card.

You'll then be able to enter your card details securely.

Handouts Online is also able to accept payment by card through 2Checkout as an alternative to PayPal. They offer secure online payment and it's instant.

When entering your billing address, choose the country first. It's in a drop down list. Wait a moment, and the screen will update and you'll find the boxes you need to fill in correspond with your country's address style.

No, you don't. When you click through from Handouts Online to the PayPal payment screen, you'll be given two choices. One says 'Log into your PayPal account'. Only click on this if you are a PayPal member.

If you aren't a PayPal member, click on the link which says 'Pay by credit card'.

It's not necessary to become a PayPal member. You just need to enter your credit card information, and you're finished! It's quick and very secure.

There is also an alternative to PayPal. You can pay through 2Checkout. They provide secure, encrypted payment. Your card details are not passed onto Handouts Online.

If you have already created an account, log in, and on the member's page, choose '2Checkout' in the Add / Renew Membership section.

To log in, you need your username and password.

You also need cookies enabled on your computer. To check if your cookies are enabled, go to the 'Tools' menu of your browser, and check that the security settings are at 'default'.

Both your username and password are case-sensitive. Be sure not to mix upper and lower case letters. Also, be careful not to add any additional spaces.

If you cannot remember your log-in details, go to the login page here. Type in your username or email address, and we'll email you a reminder of your login details.

If you are still having difficulties, please email support@handoutsonline.com, and we'll help you out.

If you've forgotten your password, you'll need to choose a new one. Go to the lost password section on the login page.

Enter the email address for your account. Our system will then send you an email. In that email you can click on a link to choose a new password. You'll need to do so within a few hours of receiving the email.

Very occasionally, there can be a problem with the version of Acrobat Reader installed on a user's computer, which leads to a blank screen when viewing worksheets.

It's very easy to fix.

First uninstall the version of Acrobat Reader you have on your computer. Then, go to the Adobe website, and download the latest version of the Reader software. It's free. The link is here.

As soon as you've reinstalled the latest version, you'll be able to view the worksheets without any difficulties.

This error is again unusual, and it caused by a problem with the version of Acrobat Reader installed on the computer you are using.
