With the Winter Olympics about to begin, we have updated our 'Watching the Olympics' worksheet so that it's ready for the 2016 games.

Following the lead-in, there is a short conversation practicing some common lower-level expressions, including:
  • interested in
  • favourite
  • can't wait
  • and more...
The conversation is followed by practice exercises, giving your students the opportunity to personalise the language.

The lesson rounds off with some simple discussion questions. Which events will your students watch? How many medals will their country win?

This World Cup theme lesson is a good way of reviewing some common structures in conversation.

Language reviewed includes:
