'My Best Vacation' (UK version: 'My Best Holiday') looks at four different kinds of vacation - backpacking, beach, a cookery course and a cruise.

Your students can read about four people's trips - or you can divide it up and have each student read one segment and then tell a partner about the trip.

This is followed by vocabulary building and a discussion exercises, where students think of the good and bad points of each kind of trip.

The lesson rounds off with another speaking activity, with students telling a partner about their best vacation.
