Description: This worksheet is a great way to build your students' knowledge of some of the more common expressions used when talking about trials. You don't need to be a legal genius - it's the kind of vocabulary that's often heard in TV legal dramas.

There's a gap-fill reading, followed by comprehension questions, and vocabulary-building exercises.

The worksheet rounds off with discussion questions. Would your students like to be on a jury? Do they watch TV legal dramas?

The lesson starts out with a pre-discussion task, with students making notes on the book they're currently reading, or one they have read recently.

This is followed by discussion questions where students talk about their favourite books and authors. They can also ponder whether it's important to read books, and discuss the growing trend of e-books.

This worksheet is written for intermediate-level classes.
