We have a selection of worksheets which are based around an original text.

The topics work well with students of any nationality. In addition, they are popular subjects for discussion.

Each worksheet has a pre-reading question, vocabulary exercises and discussion questions, in addition to the main text.

Remember that you can adapt these worksheets for lower-level classes. We'd recommend pre-teaching more vocabulary, and dividing the text up into 'chunks'. Students can each read a small section (a couple of paragraphs), and then tell a partner about it. This can make the lesson more communication-based.
